tiptoeing into the okra patch

does okra grow in a patch? how DOES okra grow, anyway?

IĀ received someĀ in my CSA share, and while I’ve enjoyed eating it (yay Coop’s in New Orleans), I’ve never cooked with it.

Found a recipe in the Gourmet Today cookbook at the library that sounded easy enough – Smoked Sausage and Okra Dirty Rice. Turned out delicious. I highly recommend.

don’t get me wrong

having a quiet day to study IS good, but its certainly better with distractions like lunch with J (thanks!), watching the cat try to get out the back door

We were there on a wonderful day. If the weather was always like that, it’d be trashtastic enough to consider buying one of the $90,000 homes as a weekend getaway.
