Dr Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party

not a bad place to hang for a bit in contemplation of the new year. also? the books are .50 each and benefit a local elementary school. I got Edith Wharton’s The Custom of the Country, partly because I really loved The Age of Innocence, but mostly because the heroine’s name is Undine Spragg and I wanted to see what sort of fate would befall a girl posessed of such a moniker.

second glance

lovely pre-holiday dinner with istope and the parents at the Rustic Canyon Wine Bar, which is very yum and worth a second visit

on the way back to the car, I saw this

I keep reading it as “No drugs or monkey”. Things are different (and frankly, more amusing) in my world
