I swore to B that it’s possible for me to show people around DC without dragging them to a museum, but I’m not sure that he believes me. I’ve given him no reason to, but really, when you can go someplace this cool for free, it’s hard to come up with anything better … and I did take him to that concert!

We also made the requisite visit to the Stephen Colbert portrait, but B refused to have his picture taken with it. Spoilsport.

When you need to get a new drivers license, when you need to get a library card, when you just wonder where it is, you can put off looking for your passport for … oh, at least four months. When a cute boy invites you on a mystery trip, you stay up all night (or at least until three) searching until you find it. Or at least, that’s what I do.

Where was it in the end? Right where Mom predicted it would be. Typical.
