Sacramento means

thrift stores and Gunthers ice cream with Sadie and Oscar

and Amarin for Thai, which this time included Brother and new bébé

she’s cute, but they don’t do much at three months (although she might be trying to get away)

Adventures in Dupont

Andrea and I went to see the Presidential China at Woodrow Wilson. G-Bear, as so often happens, went along for the ride. We found pandas

Edward Gorey-style Spanish Steps

and a hidden little park full of iris

and finished the day with dinner at Busboys & Poets in Shirlington. G met a lot of dogs and they never failed to delight him.

Fiesta Asia & Artomatic

just to emphasize the multicultural nature of DC, we ended up the day at Fiesta Asia

and then I walked from Pennsylvania Ave over to First & M NE. I saw the Canadian Embassy

the old Carnegie Library, where they were having a wedding (how cool would THAT be???)

a casualty of a recent rainstorm

some good houses

and ended up at Artomatic

World Embassy Day

Hooray for fun in DC! Today, there were a million places to go. Nat & I started out in Dupont Circle, where we went to South Korea (they are apparently building an army)

I think this staircase was in Ghana - beautiful

Pakistan had some fun stuff outside and good food

but Peru won out

because they had the alpacas

I would FREAK OUT if I saw those nails coming towards me

but it didn’t seem to mind

Bike to Work Day

too bad it was WET. At least the free coffee was good and I had a delicious samosa from Bombay Curry.
